THE MOTOR SHOW
DISPLAYS ITS FEMININE SIDE WITH THE WOMAN'S ROUTE
Actress Martina Stella is the MC of the 35th
Bologna Motor Show, which will be open to the public from
tomorrow until 12 December. Born in Florence on 28 November 1984, Martina
Stella has trodden the boards since she was a youngster, making her debut
appearance in Gabriele Muccino's 2001 film “L’ultimo bacio”. Since then, her
career has been on the up and up, encompassing everything from the theatre – in
the 2002-03 season, aged just 18, she debuted at the “Sistina” as Clementina in
the celebrated musical comedy “Aggiungi un posto a tavola”, directed by Pietro
Garinei – to the silver screen and the small screen. She has worked with
various high-profile actors and directors: with Gabriele Salvatores and Diego
Abatantuono in the firm “Amnesia”, with Peter O’Toole and Charlotte Rampling in
a RAI-led international production, and with Alessandro Gassman in the TV
series “Le stagioni del cuore”. Moreover, she has appeared in two major US
motion pictures: “Ocean’s Twelve”, the Steven Soderbergh film with Brad Pitt
and George Clooney; and “Nine”, alongside Daniel Day-Lewis and Marion
Cotillard. 2010 has been another very busy year for Martina: she is currently
featured in Carlo Vanzina's “Ti presento un amico”, together with Raoul Bova,
and is also to be seen in the TVM “Un pugno e un bacio”, the story of boxer
Tiberio Mitri. Shortly, she will be one of the protagonists of the TV series
“Angeli e diamanti”.
MC
of the 2010 Motor Show Martina Stella will visit the event
on Sunday 5 December, when she will make herself available to
journalists and photographers and will then say a few words to the crowds in the
various pavilions.
The
35th Bologna Motor Show will be displaying
its feminine side through the so-called Percorso Donna (Woman's Route), which
is one of the main focuses of this year's event. The Woman's Route is an
initiative geared towards highlighting all of the possible ways in which women
use and experience cars. Thanks to a collaboration with the car makers, a route
within the Motor Show will flag up the cars within their ranges and the
services that have been specifically designed with women in mind, which will be
highlighted through signposts displaying the symbol of the Woman's Route – a
lipstick.
This
year's Motor Show benefits from a major partnership between Ford and Marie
Claire: the readers of the monthly magazine who take an interest in
the Woman's Route will have the possibility to win an
exceptional test-drive on board Ford's smaller models,
the KA and the Fiesta (in the Ford KA Tatto or Grand Prix
and Ford Fiesta Hot Magenta versions), where they will be joined in the
driver's or passenger seat by mystery guests. Marie Claire, the media
partner of the Woman's Route, will have its own lounge in Pavilion 22,
where visitors will be able to relax by leafing through copies of the magazine
or being pampered by a Shiseido makeup artist. A number of sessions are also
due to be held with Marie Claire journalists and speakers from the world of
automobiles.
Renault will be
using the Woman's Route to stage the national premiere of its Twingo Miss
Sixty, the first Twingo entirely dedicated to women. This limited-edition
city car celebrates the marriage of lifestyle and glamour: the typically female
traits of sensuality and irony that differentiate the Miss Sixty brand will be
embodied by the new release from Renault. Great Wall will be
presenting its Voleex for the first time in Europe. This new city
car offers a mix of style and quality at the right price for the women of today.
Last but not least, Estrima will be showcasing its Birò, an
electric scooter that, thanks to its four wheels, does not require a helmet to
be worn while riding it.
